So I'm thinking to myself today at work.
The local talking heads on the radio are discussing the Superman movie coming out later this month, and suddenly it hits
me: There are a lot of strong parallels between "Clark Kent, Superman" and "Jesus Christ, Superstar".
1. Both are inherently good people who always do the right thing.
2. Both have powers far beyond those of mortal men.
3. Both saved the world (in different ways and interpretations, but it counts).
4. Both shouldered the burden of responsibility that came with their power rather than turn away from what had
to be done.
5. Both of them came back from the dead. If you want to argue that point about Superman, you need to check
yourself and read some comics.
The logical conclusion is this: Jesus and Superman are the same person. Stands to reason. That whole
"last of the Kryptonian race" thing is justa cover for the Son of God's superhero gig. I mean seriously; if he went
around saving people as Jesus, people would go nuts about how it's the Second Coming and al that shit. The Man's just
trying to do some good, people.
The kryptonite thing? That's just Jesus trying to make the bad guys feel effective. Just 'cause they're evil
doesn't mean he has to ruin their self esteem. Plus, it's another part of his cover.
Praise be to Superman.
